Delfim Vaz came out of the goal and Luís Gustavo Lago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Paulina FC's Delfim Vaz got control of the ball when Luís Gustavo Lago tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sílvio Luiz Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Vaz having to interfere. In the 26th minute Sílvio Luiz Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulina FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sílvio Luiz Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Paulina FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
