A throw-in in the 5th minute of the game was made by Pedro Paulo Torres with Arnaldo Fernandez as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Francisco Bastos fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 10th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. 12 minutes into the match, Kauan Ramalho notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Cupe's Manoel Ferraz. Manoel Ferraz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 15 minutes into the game, Pedro Paulo Torres threw the ball into play from the sideline. Cupe's Adriano Lima quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Chiquinho Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute of the game Pedro Paulo Torres made a throw-in which Arnaldo Fernandez played forward. Chiquinho Santos hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Andrézinho Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chiquinho Santos in the 32nd minute of the match. After 35 played minutes União F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Kauan Ramalho. In the 38th minute, Arnaldo Fernandez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The União F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 40 minutes into the game, Ricardo Silva threw the ball into play from the sideline. Cupe's Oscar Teixeira quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After having played for 47 minutes, Oscar Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cupe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Teixeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

With a little luck, União F.C.'s Andrézinho Velloso got control of the ball when Adriano Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chiquinho Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Andrézinho Velloso made a huge save. Oscar Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Andrézinho Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute of the game Pedro Paulo Torres made a throw-in which Arnaldo Fernandez played forward. Kauan Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Ferraz having to interfere. 83 minutes into the game, Francisco Bastos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cupe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave União F.C. the free kick. In the 83rd match minute, Cupe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Bastos to maneuver through the defense. Cupe's attentive Hugo Miranda managed to snatch the ball when Pedro Paulo Torres made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. Kauan Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Ferraz having to interfere. In the 93rd match minute, União F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Linhares to maneuver through the defense.
