União F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Camponeses FC the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Camponeses FC's zone, Arnaldo Fernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Róbson Secco came out of the goal and Arnaldo Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 18 played minutes Ricardo Silva rounded Camponeses FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. With his leg Róbson Secco managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when União F.C.'s Kauan Ramalho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 27 minutes into the match, Camponeses FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Linhares came free, but Róbson Secco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Camponeses FC defense, Arnaldo Fernandez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Róbson Secco. The Camponeses FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Róbson Secco should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Ricardo Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kauan Ramalho made a kick off. Camponeses FC's Róbson Secco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Linhares in the 59th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Tomás Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbson Secco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tomás Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 minutes, Doriva Dracena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Camponeses FC and the União F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card.
