Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sílvio Luiz Amaral got the match started through his kick off. If Sílvio Luiz Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Bastos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Tarcisio Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by José Lima in the 14th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cupe's Armando Bittencourt. Los Panchos's Ramón Cunha quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hugo Miranda, made in the 17th minute of the game. Ramón Cunha hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Bastos during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cupe's Manoel Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luiz Amaral in the 26th minute of play. Luís Gustavo Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Ferraz having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Hugo Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarcisio Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Francisco Bastos came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Cupe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Bastos couldn't finish the play. José Lima made in the 40th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ramón Cunha immediately put the ball in play. Cupe's Oscar Teixeira got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Chiquinho Santos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tarcisio Carvalho. That made the score 1-0 in the 45 minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chiquinho Santos to make the kick off. Tarcisio Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Bastos in the 52nd minute of the match. José Lima made in the 53rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Joaquim Vinhas immediately put the ball in play. Luís Gustavo Lago struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Manoel Ferraz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Panchos. 62 minutes into the match, Oscar Teixeira notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Los Panchos's Tarcisio Carvalho. Tarcisio Carvalho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Oscar Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francisco Bastos fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 77th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Cupe's Oscar Teixeira quite brazenly broke a throw-in by José Lima, made in the 85th minute of the game. Hugo Miranda missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 88 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Tarcisio Carvalho right hand side. Armando Bittencourt struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Tarcisio Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cupe. 94 minutes into the match, Cupe's goalkeeper Manoel Ferraz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Gustavo Lago. Cupe's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
