An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Madureira in the 10th minute of play forced Paulina FC's goalkeeper Delfim Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Tricolor dos Pampas FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Arruda came free, but Dito Vergílio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dito Vergílio made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Agnaldo Neto sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Wilton Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tricolor dos Pampas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilton Lago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delfim Vaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Delfim Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Madureira in the 29th minute of play. After 30 minutes, Arthur Pires mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paulina FC and the Tricolor dos Pampas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Delfim Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Madureira in the 40th minute of the match. Agnaldo Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dito Vergílio having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

57 minutes into the match, Tricolor dos Pampas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Agnaldo Neto came free, but Dito Vergílio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Paulina FC's Delfim Vaz got control of the ball when Wilton Lago tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Paulina FC booed when Tricolor dos Pampas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginaldo Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulinho Viana, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 69th minute, Alberto Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dito Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Arruda in the 77th minute of play. Delfim Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Madureira, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After a rather tough play, Paulina FC's José de Andrade got a free kick in the 87th minute. Paulina FC's Delfim Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Madureira in the 88th minute of play. Tomás Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Vaz having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
