Turbonegro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kurumba F.C the free kick. After 4 played minutes Turbonegro got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Borges. In the 5thth minute of the game Dráusio Travassos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Turbonegro's Franklin de Brito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 8th minute of the match Kurumba F.C got a corner. Turbonegro's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Acácio Bittencourt ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ademar Lopez struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Rafa Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Turbonegro. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Turbonegro's goalkeeper Franklin de Brito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jano Donato hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Turbonegro's Franklin de Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelson Figueiredo in the 19th minute of play. After 23 minutes of play, Kurumba F.C's Dráusio Travassos made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franklin de Brito was left in no man's land by his defense there! 29 minutes into the game, Ademar Lopez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rafa Catarinense. Ademar Lopez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 33 minutes into the match, Kurumba F.C's Dráusio Travassos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franklin de Brito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nelson Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th match minute, Turbonegro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Borges to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dráusio Travassos to make the kick off. Nelson Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Ademar Lopez scored 3-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rafa Catarinense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rafa Catarinense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ademar Lopez's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 66 minutes into the game, one of Kurumba F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Dinei Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antônio Carlos Nascimento hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Dinei Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nelson Figueiredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Franklin de Brito made a huge save. Dráusio Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Franklin de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dráusio Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Turbonegro fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kurumba F.C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
