After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Lúcio Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manino's supporters rose to their feet, but Lúcio Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stig-Arne Nyström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stig-Arne Nyström came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Manino's Lúcio Alves. But to his dismay, Lúcio Alves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Lúcio Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Manino getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Wiliam Aguiar hit a great ball. Pedrinho Maranhense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duda Arósio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Duda Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Magalhães in the 31st minute of play. Lúcio Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pedrinho Maranhense's late challenge caught a Manino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedrinho Maranhense helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC Xmem getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Pedrinho Maranhense hit a great ball. Hélder Luz, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Arlindo Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. The FC Xmem fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Manino were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
