Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Manfredo Aparecido came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Meu Pau na Tua Mão FC's Jorge Berger. But to his dismay, Jorge Berger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Alfredinho Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manfredo Aparecido stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurício Lara's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 20th minute Jorge Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfredo Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maurício Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Manfredo Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manfredo Aparecido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco de Andrade in the 29th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Téo Sá during the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Maurício Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meu Pau na Tua Mão FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurício Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manfredo Aparecido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 45 minutes, Jorge Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meu Pau na Tua Mão FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Berger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maurício Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jorge Berger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manfredo Aparecido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Edmílson Cruz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Gavea Rio's Silvério Schmidt quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Berger in the 57th minute of play forced Gavea Rio's goalkeeper Manfredo Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfredo Aparecido having to interfere. Jorge Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Gavea Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Téo Sá came free, but Manfredo Aparecido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gavea Rio's Manfredo Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurício Lara in the 70th minute of play. When Jorge Berger came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Meu Pau na Tua Mão FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Berger couldn't finish the play. Gavea Rio's Manfredo Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco de Andrade in the 78th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Gavea Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Berger came free, but Manfredo Aparecido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manfredo Aparecido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurício Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Manfredo Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Lara in the 92nd minute of the match. Jorge Berger took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manfredo Aparecido. Manfredo Aparecido dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Meu Pau na Tua Mão FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
