After a rather tough play, Turbonegro's Toninho Borges got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 17th minute, Turbonegro's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vivaldo Madureira fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 17 minutes into the game, Tiaguinho Baptista recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Franklin de Brito. Tiaguinho Baptista showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Vivaldo Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin de Brito having to interfere. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Franklin de Brito as he didn't even see the shot coming. Jean Trancoso struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Telmo Cruz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Turbonegro. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Dinei Marinho succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 53rd playminute. If Tiaguinho Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Passarinhos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
