Jorge Berger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Paulinho Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Otávio Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Acarai's Cristiano Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Meu Pau na Tua Mão FC's Tiago Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Castro in the 39th minute of play. Paulinho Urbano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Berger in the 43rd minute. Paulinho Urbano made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Jorge Berger sent off a good shot on target. Paulinho Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Lara in the 48th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maurício Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Meu Pau na Tua Mão FC booed when Acarai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisinho Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Francisco de Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Meu Pau na Tua Mão FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco de Andrade couldn't finish the play. The Acarai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulinho Urbano should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the Meu Pau na Tua Mão FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
