The referee ignored FC Xmem's protests and gave Pedrinho Maranhense a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Xmem's Pedrinho Maranhense got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 78th minute, Ademar Lopez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 89th minute Celso Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ademar Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig-Arne Nyström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Lopez in the 94th minute of the match. Stig-Arne Nyström made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Dinei Marinho sent off a good shot on target. In the 97th minute Ademar Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig-Arne Nyström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The FC Xmem supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Turbonegro's performance. The match ended with a win for Turbonegro.
