Vila Ema Ravens's Rafinha Luis got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Renato Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, SOROCABA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Ramsey came free, but Júnior Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 played minutes Vila Ema Ravens got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Campidelis. Ademar Custódio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Perez in the 22nd minute of the match. When Dráuzio Hermes fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SOROCABA FC's protests and gave Dráuzio Hermes a yellow card for diving instead. Júnior Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafinha Luis in the 26th minute of play. When Joaquim Campidelis came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Vila Ema Ravens fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Campidelis couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind SOROCABA FC's goalkeeper Júnior Corrêa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rafinha Luis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Renato Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SOROCABA FC's Júnior Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafinha Luis in the 43rd minute of play. If Joaquim Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ademar Custódio was a little too slow when Cláudio Perez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

54 minutes had been played when some careless play by SOROCABA FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aaron Ramsey was slow to take the kick. During this time Vila Ema Ravens's players had a chance to rest. 59 minutes into the match, SOROCABA FC's Abelardo Siqueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ademar Custódio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 61st minute Cláudio Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademar Custódio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Siqueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ademar Custódio having to make a save. After 74 played minutes Vila Ema Ravens got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Ramsey. Alessandro Leme's late challenge caught a Vila Ema Ravens's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alessandro Leme helped the player get up and apologised. Joaquim Campidelis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júnior Corrêa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Rafinha Luis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Ema Ravens's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafinha Luis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júnior Corrêa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abelardo Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SOROCABA FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Vila Ema Ravens had controlled the match.
