An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Campidelis in the 3rd minute of play forced Lions FC's goalkeeper Ruy Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedrinho Arósio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Ruy Vides made a huge save. Pedrinho Arósio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruy Vides read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Lions FC's Ruy Vides played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Campidelis in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Campidelis came free, but Ruy Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 33 played minutes Corinthians Z got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Cordeiro. If Giuseppe Sergipano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Pedrinho Arósio fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Igor Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Vides having to interfere.

The wind increased when Igor Campidelis made the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Cordeiro came free, but Ruy Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fellipe Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Pedrinho Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the game, Fellipe Montenegro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lions FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corinthians Z the free kick. In the 76th minute, Fellipe Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruy Vides came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Corinthians Z's Pedrinho Arósio. But to his dismay, Pedrinho Arósio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 87th minute Pedrinho Arósio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Corinthians Z fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lions FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
