Spectators: 6656 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 0) Lions FC's Rafa Diniz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Yan de Lima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ruy Vides was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 9 minutes, Vitório das Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lions FC and the CRB players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lions FC's Vitório das Neves got a free kick in the 9th minute. After 11 played minutes Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Jefferson da Cunha. Ruy Vides acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 13th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Amílton Amorim. Amílton Amorim hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Lions FC's Giuseppe Sergipano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Rafa Diniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Giuseppe Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lions FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Giuseppe Sergipano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amauri Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Lions FC's Ruy Vides got control of the ball when Alessandro Quintal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yan de Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Vides having to interfere. Yuri Queiroz's late challenge caught a CRB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yuri Queiroz helped the player get up and apologised. 46 minutes into the game, one of Lions FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Lions FC:s Ruy Vides showed great skill when he stopped Amauri Mineiro:s penalty. In the 48th minute, Amauri Mineiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ruy Vides was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Luiz Eduardo Vasconcelos made the kick off in the second half. Amauri Mota was a little too slow when Fellipe Montenegro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 2-1. After a rather tough play, Lions FC's Vitório das Neves got a free kick in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Eduardo Vasconcelos came free, but Ruy Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute, CRB's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gustavo Barreto fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Vitório das Neves was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. Vitório das Neves hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. CRB's Yan de Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fellipe Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amauri Mota having to make a save. In the 79th minute, CRB's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gustavo Barreto fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Alessandro Quintal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute Luiz Eduardo Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lions FC's Ruy Vides played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Eduardo Vasconcelos in the 93rd minute of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Yuri Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lions FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yuri Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
