With a little luck, Iraguacu's Egídio Cerezo got control of the ball when Giovani Pinheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Lions FC's Giuseppe Sergipano couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 54th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Iraguacu. When Giovani Pinheiro fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lions FC's protests and gave Giovani Pinheiro a yellow card for diving instead. 69 minutes into the match, Iraguacu's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson da Cunha came free, but Egídio Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egídio Cerezo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Pinheiro in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of Lions FC booed when Iraguacu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germano de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball.
