After a rather tough play, Corinthians Z's Naldo Tepedino got a free kick in the 5th minute. Giovani Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jailson de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jefferson da Cunha in the 8th minute of the match. Luciano Cordeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luciano Cordeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luciano Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Lions FC's Giovani Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Campidelis in the 13th minute of play forced Lions FC's goalkeeper Ruy Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedrinho Arósio struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Ruy Vides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corinthians Z. After 17 minutes, Naldo Tepedino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corinthians Z and the Lions FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Corinthians Z getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Naldo Tepedino hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Corinthians Z's zone, Giovani Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jailson de Godoi came out of the goal and Giovani Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lions FC's Ruy Vides played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrinho Arósio in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fellipe Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Corinthians Z's zone, Jefferson da Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jailson de Godoi came out of the goal and Jefferson da Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corinthians Z's Jailson de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Sampaio in the 44th minute of play. After 47 played minutes Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Barreto. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

60 minutes into the match, Corinthians Z's goal looked a bit too open when Giovani Pinheiro came free, but Jailson de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jailson de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Barreto in the 61st minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Igor Campidelis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ruy Vides. Igor Campidelis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Igor Campidelis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruy Vides read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedrinho Arósio got free with Ruy Vides in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Lions FC's Ruy Vides got control of the ball when Pedrinho Arósio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedrinho Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ruy Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrinho Arósio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Campidelis in the 86th minute of play forced Lions FC's goalkeeper Ruy Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Lions FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Carlos Fernando Sampaio hit a great ball. Corinthians Z's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
