Waldemar Palmeira made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Ezequiel Maranhense sent off a good shot on target. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diogo Saldanha to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diogo Saldanha in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldemar Palmeira saved Miranga AD from getting behind. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 76th minute, when Miranga AD's Danilo Pombal after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Armando Ortiz in Mandante's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Albertinho Félix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miranga AD's attentive Abelardo Lima managed to snatch the ball when André de Salles made a throw-in in the 88th minute of the game. Mandante succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Miranga AD had controlled the match.
