Waldemar Palmeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinícius Quadros in the 97th minute of play forced Miranga AD's goalkeeper Waldemar Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, CHARRUA A.C could leave the field as winners, despite Miranga AD having more of the ball for most of the match.
