Seropedica's Jorginho Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis Mendonça in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Maurinho Cosme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giovanni Prado. Londrina EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maurinho Cosme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Franklin Vaz hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Giovanni Prado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luizinho Medeiros's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Jorginho Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dênis Mendonça in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dênis Mendonça in the 35th minute of play forced Seropedica's goalkeeper Jorginho Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Londrina EC's Giovanni Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizinho Medeiros in the 37th minute of play. Giovanni Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizinho Medeiros in the 38th minute of play. Luizinho Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luizinho Medeiros was the one to do the kick off. Luizinho Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Prado having to interfere. Dênis Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maurinho Cosme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Cosme in the 65th minute of play forced Londrina EC's goalkeeper Giovanni Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute Durvalino Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Benê Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurinho Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurinho Cosme in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giovanni Prado saved Londrina EC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Seropedica's zone, Anselmo França stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorginho Ceresso came out of the goal and Anselmo França tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Durvalino Proença's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorginho Ceresso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durvalino Proença in the 88th minute of play forced Seropedica's goalkeeper Jorginho Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giovanni Prado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizinho Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurinho Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Giovanni Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
