Ulysses Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinei de Amorim in the 33rd minute of the match. Formigas SC's Ulysses Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genílson Miranda in the 36th minute of play. After some careless play in the Formigas SC defense, Genílson Miranda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulysses Mesquita. The Formigas SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulysses Mesquita should have stopped the shot. If Genílson Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dinei de Amorim to make the kick off. Formigas SC's attack was well implemented in the 65th minute, but when Arthur Sampaio was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. 70 minutes into the match, Formigas SC's goalkeeper Ulysses Mesquita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Genílson Miranda. Dinei de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Mesquita having to interfere. In the 81st play minute Genílson Miranda came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ulysses Mesquita. 0-6. One of Real Parque FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Formigas SC:s goal.
