In the 38th minute of the match Vespacity FC got a corner. PRxHC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hélio de Senna ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Vespacity FC's Hélio de Senna to fire away a dangerous shot which Erik Trancoso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ernesto de Medeiross short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Erik Trancoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Mário Batista made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Batista in the 51st minute of play forced PRxHC's goalkeeper Erik Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Vespacity FC had played much better football throughout.
