He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ESPARTACUS FC reached it. If Dedé Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Glauco França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Dedé Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESPARTACUS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dedé Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo José Vinhas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jean Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jean Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dedé Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo José Vinhas having to interfere. Christian Dantas hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Glauco França managed to get in a good position for a shot. Madrugueira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Glauco França was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valério Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 30 played minutes ESPARTACUS FC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo da Fonseca. 33 minutes into the match, Madrugueira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juarês Sampaio came free, but Paulo José Vinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jean Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of ESPARTACUS FC booed when Madrugueira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean Linhares struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Paulo José Vinhas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ESPARTACUS FC. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Dedé Fontes scored 0-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo José Vinhas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paulo José Vinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Madrugueira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ESPARTACUS FC the free kick. In the 66th match minute, Madrugueira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. Dedé Fontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Paulo José Vinhas made a huge save. The Madrugueira FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching ESPARTACUS FC's performance. The match ended with a win for ESPARTACUS FC.
