After 24 minutes of play, Lavaibola Kaneladas's Anselmo Mazza made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After a defensive mix-up in Lavaibola Kaneladas's zone, Cleiton Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Vergílio came out of the goal and Cleiton Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Artur Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleiton Teixeira in the 39th minute of the match. After 40 minutes, Mário do Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lavaibola Kaneladas and the TumTum FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute, Mário do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. TumTum FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maicon Valle in the 43rd minute. TumTum FC's Maicon Valle was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Artur Vergílio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 46th minute of the match João Augusto Pernambucano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Álvaro Amaral skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to TumTum FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Osvaldinho Moura hit a great ball. Anselmo Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Álvaro Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The TumTum FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lavaibola Kaneladas were winning 1-2.

Tony Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Amaral having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Vitório Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot. TumTum FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitório Maciel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Vergílio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Mazza in the 59th minute of play forced TumTum FC's goalkeeper Álvaro Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Álvaro Amaral made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Tony Linares sent off a good shot on target. Vitório Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Artur Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Paulo Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Paulo Andrade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
