Ismael do Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Luís Fabiano Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 5th match minute, Vespacity FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cícero Luz to maneuver through the defense. Ismael do Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fabiano Reis having to interfere. Dalmo Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernesto de Medeiros might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Josué Montenegro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesto de Medeiros ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th match minute, Rayas DLP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Carlos de Sena to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 16 minutes, Ernesto de Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vespacity FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto de Medeiros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th minute, Vespacity FC's Ernesto de Medeiros ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Josué Montenegro. Josué Montenegro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A hard shot by Jacinto Lopes from long distance, 23 minutes into the match, got Josué Montenegro's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Josué Montenegro made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Ernesto de Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute, Dalmo Simão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dalmo Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fabiano Reis having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Mário Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fausto Guedes hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Dalmo Simão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmo Simão in the 47th minute of play forced Vespacity FC's goalkeeper Luís Fabiano Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mário Batista to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Dalmo Simão notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Vespacity FC's Luís Fabiano Reis. Luís Fabiano Reis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Ismael do Valle came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Rayas DLP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael do Valle couldn't finish the play. In the 68th match minute, Rayas DLP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilian Motta to maneuver through the defense. Dalmo Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ismael do Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute, Dalmo Simão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Fabiano Reis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Dalmo Simão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Luís Fabiano Reis made a huge save. If Dalmo Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalmo Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fabiano Reis having to interfere. Dalmo Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the game, Rayas DLP's Dalmo Simão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luís Fabiano Reis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The Vespacity FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rayas DLP were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
