After some careless play in the PRxHC defense, Paulinho Donatello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erik Trancoso. The PRxHC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erik Trancoso should have stopped the shot. Formigas SC's Ulisses Carvalho suffered a concussion after 20 minutes and had to leave the field. Oséias Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Paulinho Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Formigas SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulinho Donatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erik Trancoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, PRxHC's Erik Trancoso got control of the ball when Paulinho Donatello tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 45 minutes, Oséias Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Formigas SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oséias Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frank Sampaio hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulinho Donatello made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in PRxHC's zone, Paulinho Donatello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Trancoso came out of the goal and Paulinho Donatello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erik Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulinho Donatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulinho Donatello in the 64th minute of play forced PRxHC's goalkeeper Erik Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PRxHC's Enio Schmidt got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 68 minutes into the game, Duarte Antunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PRxHC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Formigas SC the free kick. Adilson Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in PRxHC's zone, Paulinho Donatello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Trancoso came out of the goal and Paulinho Donatello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the match, PRxHC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulinho Donatello came free, but Erik Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Paulinho Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Formigas SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulinho Donatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erik Trancoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that Formigas SC were the better team. Formigas SC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
