Leonardo Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jerônimo Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Bacara getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Cauã Mangueira hit a great ball. Romário Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Felipe Koehler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerônimo Tande was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 25th minute Felipe Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Cauã Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Bacara's zone, Romário Passos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerônimo Tande came out of the goal and Romário Passos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute Romário Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robinho Mendes in the 34th minute of play forced Spartacus FC's goalkeeper Jerônimo Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerônimo Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robinho Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the game, Spartacus FC's Felipe Koehler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jerônimo Tande made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Leonardo Quadros came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Bacara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Quadros couldn't finish the play. After the first half Spartacus FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robinho Mendes to strike the kick off in the second half. Felipe Koehler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerônimo Tande having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, one of Spartacus FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Bacara a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by José Augusto Chaves, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Spartacus FC's Jerônimo Neto. 1-2. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Jerônimo Tande successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robinho Mendes in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerônimo Neto saved Spartacus FC from getting behind. 66 minutes into the match, Leonardo Quadros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jerônimo Neto. Spartacus FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonardo Quadros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. If Felipe Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Spartacus FC booed when Bacara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Bacara's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Koehler came free, but Jerônimo Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
