Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Naldo Gerber started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd minute, Wilson Dante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. César da Fonseca scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jardel Nogueira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Magalhaes's Wilson Dante got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Tartaruga AD's Severino Linhares got a free kick in the 14th minute. When the match had been going on for 15 minutes Mário Montenegro shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Jardel Nogueira when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. Jardel Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Dante in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 24 minutes, César da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magalhaes's supporters crossed their fingers, but César da Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jardel Nogueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César da Fonseca in the 27th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, César da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Wilson Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Naldo Gerber during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Magalhaes booed when Tartaruga AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Tartaruga AD's Serafim Linares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chiquinho Félix narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Naldo Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tartaruga AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Naldo Gerber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chiquinho Félix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 45 minutes, Naldo Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tartaruga AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Naldo Gerber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Tartaruga AD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Magalhaes were winning 0-1.

In the 54th minute of the match Magalhaes got a corner. Tartaruga AD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mário Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Mário Montenegro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jardel Nogueira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 67 minutes into the match, Magalhaes's goal looked a bit too open when Serafim Linares came free, but Chiquinho Félix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Dante struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Jardel Nogueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Magalhaes. Naldo Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquinho Félix having to interfere. Naldo Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Chiquinho Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, Tartaruga AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Linhares to maneuver through the defense. Wilson Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Nogueira having to interfere. Magalhaes's Wilson Dante got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 92 minutes of play, Magalhaes's Wilson Dante made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jardel Nogueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tartaruga AD's Jardel Nogueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Tartaruga AD from getting a goal against them.
