Magno Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Reynaldo da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Sidney Alvarenga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luizão Proença was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. When the match was over Mohameds Club could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Barcelona FC throughout the match.
