Serafim Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 40 minutes, Augusto Custódio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SANTACRUZENSE and the Tartaruga AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tartaruga AD booed when SANTACRUZENSE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Custódio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SANTACRUZENSE's zone, Serafim Linares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardinho Meira came out of the goal and Serafim Linares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Naldo Gerber made a kick off. Laerte Siqueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Jardel Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, Deivid Valladares notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Tartaruga AD's Jardel Nogueira. Jardel Nogueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jardel Nogueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deivid Valladares in the 56th minute of the match. Tartaruga AD's Jardel Nogueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deivid Valladares in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Deivid Valladares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Tartaruga AD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SANTACRUZENSE.
