Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The crowd rose to their feet as Tapara EC's Elano Barral slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Virgílio Prado. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Luís Paulo Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Virgílio Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Barcelona FC's Virgílio Prado got control of the ball when Luís Paulo Gaspar tried to sneak it across the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Barcelona FC's goalkeeper Virgílio Prado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elano Barral. In the 17th match minute, Barcelona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joélson Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the game, Gilberto Cearense recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Virgílio Prado. Gilberto Cearense showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Gilberto Cearense in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Virgílio Prado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Elano Barral might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Virgílio Prado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elano Barral ran back to his position shaking his head. 3-0 became the score in the 28th minute when Elano Barral elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Luís Paulo Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Tapara EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Paulo Gaspar couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the game, Gilberto Cearense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Virgílio Prado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Cearense in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgílio Prado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Tapara EC's Elano Barral in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barcelona FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barcelona FC's goalkeeper Virgílio Prado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tapara EC's Luís Paulo Gaspar got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 42 minutes, Elano Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tapara EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elano Barral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sidney Alvarenga to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Sidney Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elano Barral in the 53rd minute of play forced Barcelona FC's goalkeeper Virgílio Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelinho Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Virgílio Prado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano Barral, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Gilberto Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgílio Prado having to interfere. Elano Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynaldo da Cunha's late challenge caught a Tapara EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reynaldo da Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Tapara EC booed when Barcelona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st match minute, Tapara EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredão Diniz to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, João Adolfo Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcelona FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Adolfo Nóbrega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mané Lucas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Luís Paulo Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Virgílio Prado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Virgílio Prado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elano Barral went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Alan Cabral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Virgílio Prado having to make a save. Gilberto Cearense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 81 minutes of play, Tapara EC's Gilberto Cearense made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Virgílio Prado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Virgílio Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elano Barral in the 85th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Paulo Gaspar in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Virgílio Prado saved Barcelona FC from getting behind. Barcelona FC's Reynaldo da Cunha got his second yellow card of the match in the 92nd minute. The referee ordered Reynaldo da Cunha off the ground. Reynaldo da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Gilberto Cearense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgílio Prado was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tapara EC fully deserved thier win.
