The crowd rose to their feet as Elano Barral kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luizão Proença. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Elano Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 17 played minutes Mohameds Club got a freekick which was hit by Magno Costa. After 20 played minutes Elano Barral rounded Mohameds Club's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. The supporters of Tapara EC booed when Mohameds Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magno Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Mohameds Club's goalkeeper Luizão Proença had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Paulo Gaspar. Elano Barral was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 34th minute. Tapara EC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Tapara EC's Henrique Macedo got a free kick in the 37th minute. Elano Barral was extremely unlucky when he, in the 40th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 42nd minute Magno Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elano Barral made a kick off. Elano Barral struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Luizão Proença didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tapara EC. Tapara EC's Elano Barral got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elano Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Luizão Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tapara EC's Gilberto Cearense got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oséas Barros's late challenge caught a Tapara EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oséas Barros helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mohameds Club getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Amílton Messias hit a great ball. If Elano Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erasmo Lago took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luizão Proença. Mohameds Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Tapara EC's Mané Lucas got control of the ball when Magno Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Evandro Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Mohameds Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evandro Pereira couldn't finish the play. Luizão Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano Barral, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Luizão Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elano Barral in the 94th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Tapara EC had played much better football throughout.
