C. got a freekick which was hit by Agnaldo Leme. 15 minutes into the match, Meninos da Vila's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Lago came free, but Afonso Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelinho Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Afonso Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juninho Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Tomé Barral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hortêncio Mandrak in the 41st minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hortêncio Mandrak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adalberto Bertassi couldn't finish the play.
