An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Rezende in the 9th minute of play forced Karanda F.C.'s goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celsinho Souto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute Alexandre Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enrique Couto struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Carlos Alberto Donato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jandiritiua. Jandiritiua's Alexandre Rezende got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Alberto Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Rezende in the 23rd minute of the match. Walmyr Ortiz's late challenge caught a Jandiritiua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Walmyr Ortiz helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 played minutes Karanda F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Ortiz. Carlos Alberto Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28thth minute of the game Alexandre Rezende who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karanda F.C.'s Carlos Alberto Donato was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Alexandre Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrique Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35thth minute of the game Alexandre Rezende who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karanda F.C.'s Carlos Alberto Donato was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sidnei de Sousa charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sidnei de Sousa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th match minute, Karanda F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidnei de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute, Pedro Paulo Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celsinho Souto was the one to do the kick off. If Alexandre Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute Alexandre Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th match minute, Karanda F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmyr Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Alberto Donato acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 67th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Acácio Quadros. Lucas Varela hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the game, Karanda F.C.'s Celsinho Souto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zico Beckenbauer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 74th minute Celsinho Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zico Beckenbauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 minutes of play, Karanda F.C.'s Celsinho Souto made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zico Beckenbauer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Celsinho Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Zico Beckenbauer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 87 minutes, Alexandre Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jandiritiua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Rezende was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Karanda F.C. getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Walmyr Ortiz hit a great ball. Alexandre Rezende struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Carlos Alberto Donato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jandiritiua.
