After a rather tough play, Lux Lupus Psycho Club's Diamantino Branco got a free kick in the 2nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Godoi in the 5th minute of play forced Lux Lupus Psycho Club's goalkeeper Hernani Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evaristo Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th match minute, Lux Lupus Psycho Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Branco to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Capitão FC's goalkeeper Gilvan Paraense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Acácio Velasco. Evaristo Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Hernani Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hernani Dracena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlando Godoi's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. If Orlando Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute Orlando Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernani Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evaristo Leão struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Hernani Dracena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capitão FC. Nelson de Castro hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute of the match Bebeto Goiano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilvan Paraense showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Acácio Velasco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilvan Paraense having to make a save. Orlando Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Hernani Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Capitão FC's Jacinto Nascimento got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After 46 minutes, Jacinto Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capitão FC and the Lux Lupus Psycho Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jacinto Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Gilvan Paraense made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Fábio da Mata sent off a good shot on target. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Acácio Velasco made a kick off. Gilvan Paraense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evaristo Leão got free with Hernani Dracena in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Evaristo Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evaristo Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Hernani Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evaristo Leão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hernani Dracena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Nelson de Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute, Capitão FC's Evaristo Leão ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hernani Dracena. Hernani Dracena yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. With an all-out effort, Capitão FC's Hernani Dracena threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Orlando Godoi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Evaristo Leão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio da Mata in the 80th minute of play forced Capitão FC's goalkeeper Gilvan Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romário de Mendonça hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Orlando Godoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hernani Dracena was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. When Manoel Melo fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lux Lupus Psycho Club's protests and gave Manoel Melo a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lux Lupus Psycho Club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! Romário de Mendonça placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After a defensive mix-up in Lux Lupus Psycho Club's zone, Evaristo Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernani Dracena came out of the goal and Evaristo Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lux Lupus Psycho Club! When the match was over Capitão FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lux Lupus Psycho Club throughout the match.
