After having played for 40 minutes, Celsinho Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karanda F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Celsinho Souto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celsinho Souto scored 1-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hernani Dracena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Celsinho Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Fábio da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Alberto Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio da Mata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celsinho Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Hernani Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Karanda F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
