The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Pedrinho Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vânderson Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 10 minutes, Vânderson Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portilho F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Vânderson Vasconcelos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute, Portilho F.C.'s Pedrinho Brito ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rodolfo da Cunha. Rodolfo da Cunha yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Jaguar Futebol Clube's Genílson Loyola got a free kick in the 15th minute. Pedrinho Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodolfo da Cunha came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Portilho F.C.'s Pedrinho Brito. But to his dismay, Pedrinho Brito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When Sandrinho Trancoso fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jaguar Futebol Clube's protests and gave Sandrinho Trancoso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, Jaguar Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandrinho Trancoso to maneuver through the defense. Pedrinho Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute Genílson Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodolfo da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrinho Brito in the 35th minute of the match. Vânderson Vasconcelos was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. Portilho F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Rodolfo da Cunha was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Pedrinho Brito capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pedrinho Brito really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Pedrinho Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Rodolfo da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Pedrinho Brito notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Jaguar Futebol Clube's Rodolfo da Cunha. Rodolfo da Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Genílson Loyola took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Severino Paraíba. Severino Paraíba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Jaguar Futebol Clube's Rodolfo da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrinho Brito in the 64th minute of play. Nilmar Vidal struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Severino Paraíba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaguar Futebol Clube. Vânderson Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Genílson Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severino Paraíba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nilmar Vidal's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Rodolfo da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vânderson Vasconcelos in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Vânderson Vasconcelos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vânderson Vasconcelos in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodolfo da Cunha saved Jaguar Futebol Clube from getting behind. Rodolfo da Cunha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedrinho Brito went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Vânderson Vasconcelos might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodolfo da Cunha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vânderson Vasconcelos ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee ended the match the Portilho F.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
