They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Juninho Guedes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vila Nova Goiânia DCF. Belmiro Paraíba hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. If Yuri Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ventania walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
