Spectators: 7363 (Terracing: 5523, Seating: 1693, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Juninho Medeiros started the match with the kick off. Fabrício Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Edmund Neuber, 3 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some careless play in the Catalao defense, Hélder Rosado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raúl Carvalho. The Catalao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raúl Carvalho should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Catalao's Raúl Carvalho got control of the ball when Thiago Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th minute, Hélder Rosado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gameleira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Aloísio Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gameleira's supporters rose to their feet, but Aloísio Rosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raúl Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Gameleira's Hélder Rosado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raúl Carvalho. That made the score 3-0 after 15 minutes of play. Raúl Carvalho made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Juninho Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. Gabriel Doroftei's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raúl Carvalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Hélder Rosado made a precise shot to the right of Raúl Carvalho. Catalao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. In the 26th minute Juninho Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raúl Carvalho made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Hélder Rosado sent off a good shot on target. When Edmund Neuber fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gameleira's protests and gave Edmund Neuber a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gameleira getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Edmund Neuber hit a great ball. Raúl Carvalho was a little too slow when Hélder Rosado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 6-0. The supporters of Catalao booed when Gameleira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thiago Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Catalao's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Rosado came free, but Raúl Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raúl Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juninho Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Augusto Damião to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Gameleira's Aloísio Rosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raúl Carvalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. In the 55th minute Thiago Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Eurico Valadares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Raúl Carvalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Raúl Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aloísio Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raúl Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélder Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Raúl Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juninho Medeiros's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Raúl Carvalho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hélder Rosado went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. Catalao's Raúl Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Rosa in the 65th minute of play. Raúl Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gameleira. Eurico Valadares came free in the 73rd minute and tried to tip the ball over Raúl Carvalho, but to the joy of Catalao's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Catalao's Raúl Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Rosado in the 73rd minute of play. Raúl Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Raúl Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eurico Valadares in the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aloísio Rosa in the 81st minute of play forced Catalao's goalkeeper Raúl Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raúl Carvalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. 96 minutes into the match, Catalao's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio Rosa came free, but Raúl Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gameleira's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
