Seating: 1699, VIP seats: 147) Guerem's Gláuber Vinhas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Juninho Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gameleira's supporters rose to their feet, but Juninho Medeiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilmar Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Gameleira getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Aloísio Rosa hit a great ball. Gilmar Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho Medeiros in the 14th minute of the match. Telmo Bueno scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Moacir Barbosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Guerem's Amílton Nogueira got a free kick in the 25th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Guerem's zone, Aloísio Rosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilmar Dantas came out of the goal and Aloísio Rosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aloísio Rosa succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 28th playminute. Juninho Medeiros was extremely unlucky when he, in the 31st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Gilmar Dantas was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Juninho Medeiros capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Juninho Medeiros really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. In the 39th minute of the match, Aloísio Rosa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gilmar Dantas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Aloísio Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gilmar Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Guerem's Gilmar Dantas got control of the ball when Aloísio Rosa tried to sneak it across the goal line.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juninho Medeiros to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Guerem's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho Medeiros came free, but Gilmar Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Medeiros in the 56th minute of play forced Guerem's goalkeeper Gilmar Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Juninho Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilmar Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho Medeiros in the 64th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Guerem's Gláuber Vinhas got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the match, Juninho Medeiros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilmar Dantas. Guerem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juninho Medeiros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. If Aloísio Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilmar Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the Gameleira players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
