In the 56th minute of the game, Ruy Paranaense landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Genílson de Amaral's late challenge caught a Os Brabos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Juaba's Aírton Lucas got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Juaba fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Os Brabos were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
