The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Juaba's goal looked a bit too open when Olavo de Alcântara came free, but Hernani Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Olavo de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aírton Lucas in the 12th minute of play forced Parmera's goalkeeper Roger Custódio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Juaba's goal looked a bit too open when Olavo de Alcântara came free, but Hernani Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juaba's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Olavo de Alcântara scored to the left of an out of position Hernani Tande, making the score, 1-0. Tales Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tales Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Juaba getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Tales Barbosa hit a great ball. In the 28th minute of the match Parmera got a corner. Juaba's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristóvão Bittencourt ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Cristóvão Bittencourt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hernani Tande quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Olavo de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Tande having to interfere. Hernani Tande made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mazinho Lira in the 41st minute. In the 47th minute of the match Dito Negri shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hernani Tande showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olavo de Alcântara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Olavo de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parmera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olavo de Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Olavo de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olavo de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute of the match Dito Negri sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hernani Tande skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Parmera's Doriva Santos got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Parmera's goal looked a bit too open when Sandrinho de Sousa came free, but Roger Custódio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Parmera's Roger Custódio got control of the ball when Aírton Lucas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roger Custódio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandrinho de Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 79th match minute, Juaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aírton Lucas to maneuver through the defense. If Olavo de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristóvão Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Sandrinho de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Custódio having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Parmera had won after a very even match.
