The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gugu Silveira during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Juaba getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Gugu Silveira hit a great ball. Giuseppe Capixaba was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Delfim Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Hernani Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aírton Lucas might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patrick Senna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aírton Lucas ran back to his position shaking his head. Aírton Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Senna having to interfere. Delfim Catarinense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Hernani Tande made a huge save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yuri Netto to strike the kick off in the second half. Juaba's Tales Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sandrinho de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute Sandrinho de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Daniel Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
