Patrick Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aílton Tepedino in the 10th minute of the match. Elano Melo hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute of the match Ediberto Bueno sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Patrick Senna skillfully saved the ball. Yuri Netto struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Virgílio Porto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vila Nova Goiânia DCF. Aílton Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Vila Nova Goiânia DCF booed when Atlético Mineiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caio Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgílio Porto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Delfim Catarinense showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 31 minute of play. If Yuri Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aílton Tepedino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Patrick Senna made a huge save.
