The wind increased when Yuri Netto made the kick off in the second half. Delfim Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Esteves having to interfere. If Cafu Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalmo Leão received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. After 77 minutes, Jean Paraíba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clube Atlético Juventus and the Vila Nova Goiânia DCF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Clube Atlético Juventus supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Clube Atlético Juventus would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
