Mazinho Lira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 3 played minutes Juaba got a freekick which was hit by Jardel Varela. When Olavo de Alcântara, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 5 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Hernani Tande was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Doriva Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After 13 minutes, Doriva Santos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Parmera and the Juaba players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Parmera's goalkeeper Roger Custódio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aírton Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of Parmera booed when Juaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jardel Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mazinho Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mazinho Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Hernani Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Sandrinho de Sousa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Roger Custódio. The goal made the score 1-0. 37 minutes into the match, Juaba's goal looked a bit too open when Olavo de Alcântara came free, but Hernani Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olavo de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Tande having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Parmera got a freekick which was hit by Dito Negri. Mazinho Lira's late challenge caught a Juaba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mazinho Lira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th minute, Mazinho Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Sandrinho de Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roger Custódio was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sandrinho de Sousa made a kick off. If Aírton Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mazinho Lira's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hernani Tande firmly grabbed it by the left post. Hernani Tande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doriva Santos in the 58th minute of play. In the 80th minute Sandrinho de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Custódio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Parmera getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Doriva Santos hit a great ball. If Mazinho Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Juaba's Hernani Tande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olavo de Alcântara in the 91st minute of play. Aírton Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Roger Custódio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juaba's Sandrinho de Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Juaba's goalkeeper Hernani Tande, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Parmera's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
