The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Telmo Bueno during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Guerem's Telmo Bueno got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Gláuber Vinhas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 7th minute, Geovânio Romero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilmar Dantas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aírton Lucas went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Gláuber Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Tande having to interfere. In the 38thth minute of the game Telmo Bueno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juaba's Hernani Tande was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Juaba's Hernani Tande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gláuber Vinhas in the 39th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Juaba got a freekick which was hit by Jardel Varela. 41 minutes into the match, Guerem's Telmo Bueno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hernani Tande narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 43 minutes into the game, Guerem's Telmo Bueno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hernani Tande made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gláuber Vinhas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Juaba's Jardel Varela got a free kick in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gláuber Vinhas in the 55th minute of play forced Juaba's goalkeeper Hernani Tande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernani Tande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gláuber Vinhas in the 59th minute of the match. Sandrinho de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Gilmar Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 72 played minutes Juaba got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho de Sousa. Gláuber Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Tande having to interfere. Hernani Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gláuber Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Jardel Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Jardel Varela hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Gláuber Vinhas fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hernani Tande, passed just outside the right post. After 88 played minutes Juaba got a freekick which was hit by Andrézinho Proença. Telmo Bueno took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hernani Tande. Hernani Tande dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Juaba's goalkeeper Hernani Tande, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guerem's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
