In the 19th minute Gláuber Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrick Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telmo Bueno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 21 minutes, Gláuber Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guerem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gláuber Vinhas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patrick Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo Bueno in the 21st minute of play. Patrick Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gláuber Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Delfim Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gilmar Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Guerem's Amílton Nogueira got a free kick in the 28th minute. Gilmar Dantas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yuri Netto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. Patrick Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Bueno in the 40th minute of the match. Telmo Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yuri Netto to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Guerem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandão Leão to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Telmo Bueno got free with Patrick Senna in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Telmo Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Vila Nova Goiânia DCF's Patrick Senna got control of the ball when Telmo Bueno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vila Nova Goiânia DCF's Yuri Netto got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Yuri Netto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Nova Goiânia DCF's supporters rose to their feet, but Yuri Netto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilmar Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Telmo Bueno's late challenge caught a Vila Nova Goiânia DCF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Telmo Bueno helped the player get up and apologised. After 67 played minutes Guerem got a freekick which was hit by Telmo Bueno. After having played for 70 minutes, Gláuber Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 77th minute of the match, Gláuber Vinhas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Patrick Senna saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Vila Nova Goiânia DCF's Patrick Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Vila Nova Goiânia DCF from getting a goal against them. Gláuber Vinhas might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patrick Senna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gláuber Vinhas ran back to his position shaking his head. Telmo Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Telmo Bueno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patrick Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber Vinhas in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Guerem's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Netto came free, but Gilmar Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Telmo Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Senna having to interfere. If Telmo Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Guerem players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Vila Nova Goiânia DCF from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
