The audience thought a goal was coming when Clóvis Aguiar got free with Zé Augusto Mesquita in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Augusto Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. When Francisco Xavier in the 11th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Zé Augusto Mesquita kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Luan Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Guimarães having to interfere. If Luan Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Araioses AD's Luan Proença got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francisco Xavier struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Zé Augusto Mesquita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio E. Cordovilense. The supporters of Araioses AD booed when Grêmio E. Cordovilense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauro Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Araioses AD's Cristian Romero got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adriano Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Romero in the 38th minute of the match. If Clóvis Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Elano Leme kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Adriano Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Araioses AD's goal looked a bit too open when Clóvis Aguiar came free, but Zé Augusto Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
