With an all-out effort, EC Relâmpago's Adriano Guimarães threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Carlinhos de Barros, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Juarês Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Xavier in the 4th minute of play. If Magno Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. EC Relâmpago's Magno Capixaba got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adriano Guimarães was a little too slow when Allan Barbosa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. Allan Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Anderson Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute of the match Laércio Alvarenga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juarês Bittencourt skillfully saved the ball. Adriano Guimarães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Magno Capixaba in the 23rd minute. When Grêmio E. Cordovilense's Francisco Xavier in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 38 played minutes EC Relâmpago got a freekick which was hit by Allan Vidal. Laércio Alvarenga, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Allan Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Allan Barbosa to make the kick off. Magno Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Adriano Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juarês Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 75th minute Magno Capixaba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adriano Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francisco Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adriano Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Barbosa in the 87th minute of the match. Adriano Guimarães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Allan Barbosa's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, one of Grêmio E. Cordovilense:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Grêmio E. Cordovilense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The EC Relâmpago fans cheered their team off the field, for while Grêmio E. Cordovilense had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
