But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clóvis Aguiar couldn't finish the play. Grêmio E. Cordovilense's Adriano Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafinha Couto in the 31st minute of play. Rômulo Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grêmio E. Cordovilense's Adriano Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Tande in the 34th minute of play. If Rômulo Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bebeto Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Guimarães having to interfere. Adriano Guimarães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rômulo Gomes's shot from short distance in the 48th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Xavier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cordovilense's Adriano Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Tande in the 68th minute of play. In the 69thth minute of the game Clóvis Aguiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Imperadores FC's Gualter do Valle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rômulo Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Adriano Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Bebeto Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imperadores FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bebeto Tande was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adriano Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rômulo Gomes got free with Adriano Guimarães in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rômulo Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lauro Paraense's late challenge caught a Imperadores FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lauro Paraense helped the player get up and apologised. Bebeto Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Guimarães having to interfere. If Bebeto Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Imperadores FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Grêmio E. Cordovilense.
